Default Sea monster washed ashore...

This is a year old, but i just found it browsing the web..

18 dec 2008:
''This strangely ugly “sea monster” was found off of a shore of in Guinea. Although it is partially decomposed, it still obtains 4 paws, long fur, and a wide tail. Scientist have seen creatures like this before but cannot identify it.''

Anyone knows what it is? It looks very weird, almost not like an animal. Or maybe just a superdecomposed whale or other big animal...

Apparently, there are several 'sea monsters' that every now and then wash ashore. Makes you wonder what kind of animals live on this planet that seem completely alien to us.

ps. Notice the UFO in the first picture

Something to keep in mind when these strange creatures wash ashore - is that with global warming and the melting of the glaciers, more and more prehistoric creatures which have been trapped in ice for millions of years could be washed into the sea. I for one certainly hope so!

Crafth, thanks for pointing out the saucery shape. I would have missed it!

Ben, I never thought about animals washing out of glaciers, good point. I can't really see fur or paws in the photo, but I'm sure the people knew what they were seeing.

Wow. What an amazing find. To study something like that would also be quite amazing. I can't help but wonder what it is though. It looks a bit like a turtle, although the extremities baffle me. Almost look a bit like fins? Hmm. Have you heard anything else about this? Or is there an article on it somewhere? I'd like to read up on it and see what they discover.

Hi Sammy!
I've been looking through various sites searching more info on this, but it's the same article on all the sites. Same words, same pics.
I think what Ben says about prehistoric animals being washed into the sea after being trapped in ice for millions of years makes a lot of sense.
